Projekt: Lost Places

This work layers temporal realities—structures that disappeared nearly a century ago reimagined within today’s landscape. The former buildings and contemporary terrain employ deliberately different techniques, creating visual tension between what was and what is. The painting functions as archaeological reconstruction, where memory and documentation meet landscape observation. The contrast in technique makes the temporal layers visible—past architecture painted with one approach, current landscape with another—revealing how places carry invisible histories. Part of the Lost Places series exploring Swedish sites where built structures have returned to nature, leaving only memory and documentation as evidence of human presence.
